The Texas Rowing Center launches its Latino Aqua Adventures ProgramTM
AUSTIN-Texas: The Texas Rowing Center (TRC) is launching a Latino Aqua Adventures ProgramTM designed to expand the opportunities for the Austin Latino community to experience water sports related to kayaking, canoeing, and sculling. A kick-off celebration will take place at the TRC dock on Saturday, June 23, from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Food, music and kayaks will be available for a $5.00 donation.
TRC is located on the northeast shore of Town Lake just a few meters east of the MoPac bridge (right behind Austin High School). Ample free parking is available in the area.
TRC’s Latino Aqua Adventures ProgramTM will include rowing lessons in Spanish, as well as regular events with Latino themes or tailored for Latinos of all ages and their organizations. All enthusiasts of rowing water sports are welcome, regardless of which language they prefer to use to mingle or row.
